On the fifth day of my trip I headed south out of Montréal and found myself in some beautiful Canadian farmland and small rural towns. I got gas for my rental car and used up the last bit of my Canadian money. Soon afterwards I was at the US border and in Vermont. The Vermont countryside was beautiful and I stopped in the quaint little town of Swanton to take some photos. As you can see it was another day of fantastic weather. I got back on the highway and headed into New Hampshire and now I see why they call it the Granite State. I got to the Radisson in Manchester pretty easily. Across the street from the hotel was a pretty little park where I took a few final pictures. That last one pretty well sums up my trip. I came to see the beautiful Fall colors and to visit a big city in the Great White North. Mission accomplished and then some. Later that nite I found a neat little Irish pub just down the street called The Shaskeen. I had a delicious meal of fish & chips and a pint of Guinness while some of the locals played Irish folk tunes. Early the next morning I headed back to the Manchester Airport and I was back in Tampa before noon. I had a wonderful time on this trip and can't wait to do it again!
