On the fourth day of my trip I got out into the city and amongst the people of Montréal. I did lots of site seeing and exploring. I left the downtown business district and came upon a beautiful park where many people were enjoying their Sunday afternoon. Then I drove up Mont Royal and had an awesome view of this beautiful city. After that I headed down into the charming Boulevard St-Laurent retail district and did some window shopping. Very close by was the historic district near the river with some beautiful old buildings and statues. This city has a definite European feel to it. I like the style and sophistication. There are many very old grand buildings dating back into the 1800's and on the other hand there are many beautiful modern skyscrapers. Throw in a dash of decadence and you've got quite an interesting result: a fun stylish modern city with old world charm and culture. That nite I treated myself to a delicious steak dinner at the highly recommended Moishe's Steak House. Il était magnifique!
